Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 2026
Reference URL: www.teaologyskincare.com (the “Site”)

Introduction

CGS SB S.r.l. (hereinafter “Teaology” or the “Company”), owner of the Teaology Skincare brand, is committed to making its website accessible and usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. In line with Directive (EU) 2019/882 – the European Accessibility Act – and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, we aim to make the content of our website perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor or cognitive disabilities. We believe that accessibility is an integral part of an inclusive online experience, and we work constantly to improve the navigation, content and functionality of our site.

We have adopted the WCAG 2.1 – Level AA guidelines as our technical reference, implementing solutions that allow everyone to access content clearly and without barriers.

We are aware that some sections may not yet be fully accessible: we are working on them carefully, planning gradual, incremental improvements.

If you have difficulty using the site or need content in an alternative format (for example, accessible PDFs, descriptive text or personalised assistance), or if you have any feedback for us, please write to us at: hello@teaologyskincare.com or contact us through the means and contact details provided in the Site footer.

We will do our best to help you as quickly and effectively as possible.

This accessibility statement (hereinafter the “Statement”) sets out all the necessary information.

Scope

The Statement covers the content published on the Site.

It includes:

  • The main site and all subsections of the domain;
  • The e-commerce area (products, cart, checkout);
  • The mobile versions of the site.

It does not include:

  • Embedded third-party external services (e.g. payment gateways, social media platforms, interactive maps);
  • PDFs and documents that are non-compliant or fall outside the scope of the regulation, published before April 2025.

Any external content will be made accessible within the limits of technical and legal feasibility, and where strictly required of Teaology under the regulation.

Compliance status

Following the technical assessment carried out, the Site is — as of the update date indicated at the top — partially compliant with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. Although numerous technical measures have already been implemented to improve accessibility, some sections still present partial issues. These issues are known and documented, and measures have been planned to resolve them in the coming period, in accordance with the provisions set out below.

Technologies and testing tools used

The following tools were used to assess the level of accessibility of the site:

  • Validators/Scanners: Lighthouse Accessibility, axe DevTools, WAVE;
  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS);
  • Keyboard testing (navigation with Tab/Shift+Tab, focus management, skip links);
  • Contrast analysis (WCAG AA contrast checker);
  • Verification of semantic structures (landmarks, headings, ARIA roles).

Known limitations

  • Sliders and carousels: the promotional banner on the homepage and the product carousels scroll automatically or via the “Previous/Next” controls and do not yet have a dedicated pause/stop control that is easily reachable by keyboard. The content nevertheless remains navigable, and optimisation is in progress.
  • Alternative text for images: some images do not always have a descriptive alt attribute. We are working to add accurate descriptions.
  • Images containing text: some information is presented as images with embedded text, which cannot be resized or read by assistive technologies; replacement with actual text or the addition of equivalent text alternatives is planned.
  • Similar links and buttons: some repeated elements (e.g. the “Add to cart” and “Choose options” buttons, or the dual image + title link on product cards) have identical labels lacking a distinctive context for screen readers; a refinement of these labels is planned.
  • Dynamic messages and notifications: alerts relating to the free-shipping threshold, newsletter pop-ups and cart updates may not always be announced automatically by assistive technologies, although they remain visible; these will be further improved.

Measures taken, changes in progress and improvement plan

Teaology has already introduced a number of measures to support the accessibility of the site, including:

  • Skip to content: a “Skip to content” link is provided, allowing users to go directly to the main content, bypassing the navigation menu.
  • Zoom on mobile devices: page magnification is permitted (up to 5×), so that content can be enlarged freely.
  • Multilingual availability: the site can be viewed in Italian and English via the language selector.
  • Ratings in text form: product review scores are also displayed as text, in addition to the star ratings.

The following incremental improvements are also planned:

  • Adding descriptive alternative text to all informative and link images;
  • Replacing images containing text with actual text or equivalent text alternatives;
  • Introducing pause/stop controls for sliders and carousels;
  • Adding captions and/or transcripts to video content;
  • Differentiating the labels of repeated links and buttons and announcing dynamic messages to assistive technologies;
  • Checking and standardising colour contrast to Level AA.

All future measures to improve the accessibility of the Site will be documented on this page, to ensure maximum transparency and to share the progress of the compliance process. Accordingly, this Statement may be amended/updated, including to align with changes in national and/or European Union legislation or with technological developments. Any new versions of the Statement will be published within the Site, which we invite you to check periodically.
